On August 17th, 2018, Cord Cutters reported that viewers were observing promotional videos for other series in between episodes of shows that are being binge watched. On January 23rd, Twitter published a Moments page about the boycott. Several media outlets covered Mo'Nique's boycott, including TIME, TechCrunch, The Source, and more. Netflix made all eight episodes of the series available for streaming at the same time, setting itself apart from network and cable television by allowing viewers to avoid the wait between episodes.
